EBSCO Explora search interface available for NC LIVE Libraries

All NC LIVE member libraries now have access to EBSCO's Explora interface, a search interface designed for public libraries and K-12 schools, which includes EBSCO resources. See below for the specific NC LIVE resources which are included in Explora.

Proxy Information

  • Add your proxy prefix before the resource link if you have NC LIVE Hosted Proxy or a local proxy
  • No additional stanza is necessary, since Explora is included in the EBSCO stanza

What NC LIVE resources are included with Explora? 

The following NC LIVE EBSCO databases and free resources are searchable through the Explora interface:

  • MasterFILE Premier
  • MasterFILE Premier Reference eBook Subscription
  • GreenFILE (free resource)
  • eBooks on EBSCOhost Collection
  • Exploring Race in Society (free resource)
  • Topic Overviews for Public Libraries (included with Explora)
  • Associated Press Video (included with Explora)

Other NC LIVE EBSCO resources like NoveList, CINAHL and LearningExpress Library are not searchable in Explora. However if your library licenses any EBSCO resources locally, they may be available in Explora. Please reach out to EBSCO support (support [at] ebsco.com (support[at]ebsco[dot]com)) to inquire about whether they are included in Explora.
