Call for Proposals

The call for proposals is now open! Please complete this form to submit either an in-person or virtual presentation proposal by Sunday, February 16.

We will give priority to submissions that relate to the theme, "Libraries as Community Anchors." This theme encompasses the ways that libraries serve as centers of their communities, especially as social hubs, family spaces, support networks, spaces of civic engagement, and more. Some topics include:

  • Library services and programming that bring together a particular community
  • Connections and partnerships between libraries and/or other entities
  • Strategies for bringing patrons into library spaces (physical or virtual)
  • Assessing needs of users and providing models of accessibility
  • Resources and/or services that support local businesses
  • Library services or programming serving a community in need
  • NC LIVE resources supporting a particular library program, service, or community

The following session types will be considered:

  1. Presentation (45 minutes)
  2. Workshop/Interactive session (45 minutes)
  3. Lightning Talk (10-15 minutes)

Keynote Speaker Nominations

If you would like to nominate a keynote speaker for the 2025 Annual Conference, please fill out this form.

Keynote speakers can be distinguished professionals in libraries or a related field from anywhere in the United States. They should have expertise in an area relating to the theme, "Libraries as Community Anchors" (see description above).
