Now Available: Check for Resource Outages on NC LIVE's website
Have you ever wondered if an NC LIVE resource is experiencing an outage or if you're just having an issue with your computer? No need to wonder anymore! You can now check the status of NC LIVE resources by going to the new Resource Status page on NC LIVE's website. The Resource Status page will display resources with known issues at the top of the page, and resources with no detected issues below that, giving users a place to always find the status of NC LIVE resources.
With the Resource Status page:
1. Users can see which NC LIVE resources are experiencing system-wide outages.
2. Libraries will receive resource outage Service Alert emails quicker than before. NC LIVE will be proactively detecting resource outages and alerting libraries as soon as outages are confirmed.
** How It Works ------------------------------------------------------------
NC LIVE uses resource monitoring software that proactively checks the status of resources every 15 minutes, and alerts NC LIVE if a resource is unresponsive. NC LIVE will then send out Service Alert emails to member libraries alerting them to the outage, and updating the Resource Status webpage.
