Ebook links for titles from the MyiLibrary collection in Summon no longer resolve correctly due to outdated URLs. NC LIVE recently removed these holdings from the Summon “NC LIVE catalog” and EDS.
To provide access to these titles via Summon, NC LIVE recommends implementing Automated Holdings Management which provides automatic daily updates to Summon of your LibCentral ebooks holdings. The automatic holdings update includes the MyiLibrary collection in addition to any Ebook Central Perpetual and/or DDA titles your library has and ensures all URLs are current and accurate as they are updated directly by ProQuest.
If your library has Summon follow the steps below, or in additional detail on the linked document, to ensure these titles are discoverable.
Titles included in Automated Holdings Management can be viewed in the LibCentral Admin Portal under “Owned Titles” and “DDA Titles”
In the Client Center subscribe to ProQuest Ebooks: Ebook Central Perpetual and DDA (database code AABBV)
Configure the database for title selection by checking the “"We subscribe to only some of the titles in this database" box
Add your library's Custom URL:
http://ebookcentral.proquest.
where "XXXXX" will be substituted with your library's ProQuest Ebooks Site ID
Create an Ex Libris SalesForce case to enable the service. In the ticket include the database activated (AABBV) and your library’s custom URL.
Automated holdings are generally enabled within three to five business days
ProQuest Ebooks holdings are updated daily in the Client Center for library’s participating in Automated Holdings Management
